Coach Basinger begins her first season as the new Head Coach for the Lady Knights.  Even though this is her first year as Head Coach, Basinger isn't new to the gym at Evans High.  Having grown up in Augusta, Basinger's family moved to Columbia County during her sophommore year, where she immediately began playing for the Lady Knights and the former Coach Tommy Werrick.
During her time at Evans, she lettered in four varsity sports; cross-country, softball, basketball, and track.  She went on to play softall and run cross-country for USC-Aiken.  Later, she returned to college at Charleston Southern University where she recieved degrees in Kinesiology and Religion.
Basinger currently lives in Evans, GA with her two youngest children, Parker and Reese, and her husband of twenty years, Todd.  In additon to Parker and Reese, they have six more children; Becky, Monica, Janet, Anna, William, and Andrew and three grandsons; Channing, Trevor, and Gannon.
Coach Basinger is a member of West Arces Baptist Church.  During her free time, she loves to run and read.  She loves spending time watching her children play sports.  Parker is a member of the high school tennis team and Reese is a member of the girls softball and lacrosse teams.
In additon to being a program that is competive on the region and state level each year, Coach Basinger desires to create a program that challenges all team members to constantly become a better version of themselves. She also wants young ladies to look back with fond memories of their high school playing days as a Lady Knight, just as she has been able to do.
